Pet-Friendly Whiff’s Lodge

Whiff’s Lodge is a Cape Breton Island barn-style construction with an open basement and 2 full stories above. Each level offers you an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean/St Ann’s Bay and the Bird Islands.

The lodge is named in honor of Irving Weinberg, an anesthesiologist, mentor, and community leader, whose nickname was Whiff.

Let Whiff’s lodge become your gathering place for family, friends and team members. It’s a spot with that marries the sounds of local and world music with the savory smells of fresh baking and restaurant fare, including local seafood and meats, fresh vegetables, tasty, healthy meals to enjoy alongside local wines, beer and spirits.

Each of its six bedrooms and suites is equipped with:

    We will send you a map showing that we are located at Indian Brook, along the Cabot Trail, on the Atlantic
    side of Cape Breton, just 10km north of the Englishtown ferry toward Ingonish.

    Thanks so much for your inquiry. Glad to hear you are in beginning planning stage, already many people have filled up much of July and it is good you are in touch with questions to see if Cape Breton and Cabot Shores is right for your trip in 2015…there is excellent music twice weekly at Ceilidhs and often here with informal jams and occasional concerts. Last year, we hosted the Cabot Trail Acoustic Music Festival in August, and this year it will be Sept. 18-20th…I will write you more details via email…Paul
