Introducing the newest yurt addition to Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort, the Tiger Yurt! The Tiger Yurt is a large 16’ diameter, hand-painted Mongolian Yurt that sits among the trees. On clear nights you can open the Tono (a Mongolian skylight) and see the stars. Whether you’re reading a book or recovering from a day full of adventures around the Cabot Trail, the canvas hammock nestled in the trees on the deck of the Tiger Yurt is the perfect place to unwind, disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with nature. This yurt is completely has an electric heater for cooler weather and, like all Mongolian yurts, is insulated. It now has a hot tub on its deck. It is not pet-friendly. Here is more on the Tiger Yurt, which now also has a Hot Tub on its deck.
More about our Mongolian Yurts
All of our Mongolian Yurts come from Groovy Yurts. These authentic Mongolian Yurts are made of mostly natural and organic materials and are hand crafted by Baata and his family in the countryside of Mongolia. From the first phase of production in the countryside to the final stages in the city of Ulan Bataar, each and every one of Baata’s family members plays an intricate role in ensuring the fine detail and quality construction of our authentic Mongolian Yurts.
Like Cabot Shores, Groovy Yurts strongly believes in sustainable living. To ensure sustainability, Groovy Yurts plants 25 trees for every yurt sold, supports local Mongolian felt production, and makes every effort to source materials and labour from the Mongolian countryside.
