Double Rainbow

This was the view from our deck last Friday late afternoon.  It had been a day of fickle weather on Cape Breton – sun, then rain, clouds, sun again, even a brief spell of hail.  When it was all over, these rainbows made a brief appearance.  At Cabot Shores we are blessed not only with the permanent beauty of our surroundings – trees, fields of wild flowers, the beach, cliffs in the distance – but also with frequent impromptu reminders of our proximity to nature: a moose swimming in the pond, a bald eagle swooping through at breakfast, the call of the coyotes at night.
