Cabot Shores Veggie Burger Recipe



1 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, diced

3 cm length of ginger, grated

1 cup lentils, soaked overnight
Optional veggies: diced red pepper, corn, chopped spinach

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

Salt & pepper to taste, curry powder to taste

3 Tbsp coconut oil

Enough TVP (textured vegetable protein) to form a patty



  1. Cook the lentils until soft, cool
  2. Sauté onion in coconut oil until caramelized. Add red pepper if using
  3. Add garlic & ginger (& spinach and corn if using), sauté 2 more minutes, stirring frequently, put into large bowl
  4. Add lentils to garlic/ginger/onion mixture and combine
  5. Mix in nutritional yeast
  6. Add salt & pepper & curry powder to taste
  7. Add enough TVP to form a patty
  8. Grill over the fire or in a frying pan, serve with favorite condiments
