Our Menu

Our Bistro is open year-round by reservation only, with breakfast served 7:30-9:00am, and dinner served from 5:30pm to 7pm.

We prepare a variety of delicious dishes featuring local seafood, meats and fresh veggies. Please let us know if you have a special diet such as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free.

Our fully-licensed bar offers local wines, spirits, and beers, including the Cape Breton-based organic micro-brewery Big Spruce.

Please note that in Nova Scotia, you must be 19 years old or older to purchase alcohol. Only licensed alcohol is served in the Bistro area.

  • Barbecue Chicken Potato Salad and Coleslaw  (GF)
  • Haddock Pie with Rice and Veggies
  • Sri Lankan Curry on a bed of Rice (GF, VG)

  • Fruit Crisp with Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate Truffles (VG, GF)

Mains

  • Beef Stew - tender pieces of beef slow-cooked in red wine/tomato sauce served with veggies and starch of the day
  • Fish Cakes, Baked Beans, and Chow - flaky Atlantic-style fish cakes served with sides of baked beans and chow
  • Chickpea Masala - tomato-based chickpea curry served with rice and veggies
  • Teriyaki Chicken Bowl - tender pieces of teriyaki chicken and stir-fried veggies on a bed of rice
  • Teriyaki Tofu Bowl – pan-seared teriyaki tofu with stir-fried veggies on a bed of rice
  • Meat or Veggie Lasagna

Desserts

  • Brownie with Whipped Cream
  • Fruit Crisp with Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate Truffles

Children's Menu

  • Pasta with butter & cheese OR marinara
  • Lasagna (vegetarian or meat)

Monday night cookouts with smokies, hamburgers, and side salads are a tradition at Cabot Shores!

Buffet Nights to resume when pandemic ends...

Some nights we offer a special all-you-can-eat buffet!
Enjoy a variety of dishes including meat, chicken, seafood, vegan, and  vegetarian recipes, vegetables, soup, salad, bread, and dessert!
Enjoy your meal inside the Bistro or out on the deck.
Vegan and GF items are available.
 

Catering Services

We cater to large groups, such as weddings, family reunions, educational groups, retreats, cycling tours or other special occasions hosted at our site. We can work with groups to accommodate special dietary requirements.

During pandemic, we have hosted small retreats and even weddings, with enough room in our Lodge and Event Space to offer bubble group seating.
