More about Sean Drohan (CYT)

008_2Sean is a Yoga Teacher in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia (and beyond), and the host of EastLink TV’s “the path of yoga”. He is a simple forest yogin who aspires to take the Indo-Tibetan wisdom and practice essences, and make them culturally relative to Nova Scotian’s and Westerners.

Sean teaches the full view of Traditional Yoga and Dharma. He has spent thousands of hours with Tibetan Vajryana Masters, and a Senior Yoga Master from Rishikesh, India.

On the Indian side it is called Ashtanga Yoga (*not to be confused with ashtanga vinyasa yoga), as outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Postures and Breath are only two of the limbs, there are six others that primarily work with the practice of Shamatha Meditation.

The Tibetans have furthered the realizations on Meditation to the highest teachings on the Ordinary Awakened Mind’s Nature. Reuniting Physical Yoga with Meditation is optimal for westerners to progress down the path.
