Chef George Smith once again amazed the guest’s of Cabot Shores March Break Feast with his entertaining stories and explanations of how he came up with and created his South American Inspired Menu.
Some of the guests who attended the weekend included a team of 14 Dalhousie Historians, a pet Friendly family from Sydney, Couples from Halifax and a great supportive local community.
Chef George was inspired to use as many local ingredients as possible (minus the pineapple- of course!). Guests were treated to a handmade vegetable Tortilla to start, filled with a bright assortment of vegetables, cheese and topped with a delicious homemade walnut sauce. For the main course, guests had a choice of Hearty Fish Stew featuring Haddock, Shrimp & Smoked Mackerel or a Savory Braised Steak that could be cut with a fork! To finish off the evening, George treated everyone to a dish of Caramel, Whipped Cream and Pineapple, topped with Shaved Chocolate!
After bellies were full, Fiddlers Paul Cranford & Sarah Beck took the stage and preformed a lively set of Traditional Celtic Music.
Some of our guests even took a dip in our newly installed Japanese Ofuro Soaking Tubs after an afternoon of snowshoeing!
