Last year Kitchen Parties were held at the Gaelic Singers’ Hall where music has been played by over a century.  We look forward to continuing this fun tradition, while adding a variety of music with local musicians and self-proclaimed amateurs mixing it up, in advance of weekly ceilidhs and the Cabot Trail Acoustic Festival September 18-20, 2015.

SEAN DROHAN: YOGA & DHARMA DAY RETREAT

Saturday: February 21, 2015, 9am-5pm

sean_bwExperience the Full View of Yoga and Dharma Relative to Us with the host of Eastlink TV’s “path of yoga”

This will be a day of making the Indo-Tibetan essences, teachings, and practices culturally relative to us.

In accessible language, Sean will present a non-academic view, practice, and discussion of Indian Yoga (Eight-Limbed Path) and the Tibetan teachings on the mind’s nature.  Sean is host of Eastlink TV’s “The Path of Yoga.”

MORNING

  • Physical practice
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • Meditation (Shamatha Vipasana)
  • Overview of the Yoga/Dharma path to establish the language

AFTERNOON

  • Physical practice / Pratyahara
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • Meditation (Shamatha Vipasana)
  • Discussion of the view ahead

In particular we will examine and practice the most potent aspects of HEALING in a human birth: optimal healing down to the cellular level, resolving of Karma, and removal of subtle body blockages to enable the flow of Prana (*Pratyahara which leads directly to Phowa).
